Biography

After graduation, Gregg Thompson served as a civil engineer in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps (CEC), working at the Panama Canal Naval Station as a facilities planner and engineer, and as a Project Manager at the Quantico, Virginia base. After leaving the CEC, Thompson completed an MS in Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois.

He returned to Oregon in 1999 as an environmental process engineer in CH2M HILL’s Corvallis office with responsibilities including water and wastewater treatment facility design and project planning. He is currently a project engineer managing projects for Clean Water Services, and represents CH2M HILL in the Civil Engineering Co-Operative Program (CECOP). He is chairing the CECOP board in 2003-2004.
